Hi MacMan,I just picked up an MSI X58 Pro-E (1366 i7 board), which has a JMicron 363 controller. In addition to an IDE port, it has a single eSATA and a single SATA port on the board. Currently I'm using your older JMicron35xATA kext to get the two SATA jacks working (the one with the JMicronATA exec in Contents MacOS). I've attached it here:And for reference, the Info Plist is here:Right now, the JMicron ports show up as ATA instead of SATA: (nothing is plugged into them in this screenshot, but the SATA drives do show up there)They work and they are bootable, but they are slower than my ICH10 (about 100 MB/s slower on my SSD, going from ICH10 to JMicron).
Also, Hot Swap doesn't work properly. I can do the usual mount/eject a single drive, but trying to swap a different drive in during the same boot session doesn't work.I tried both of the new kexts in the OP (each individual, with the old Jmicron kext removed from E/E) but no dice.
Neither have the Jmicron exec file, so I tried swapping that into them, as well as doing custom edits on the Info Plist. Same deal, no dice. Only the older one is working for now, which is better than nothing - I'm glad to have at least some functionality out of them.Ideally, I'd like to have the Jmicron ports setup as (1) eSATA, (1) SATA, and both as 'SATA' ports instead of 'ATA' ports, with Hot Swap functionality. I'd also like a unicorn, but that's beside the point.
